33rd Wampaku Sumo National Tournament - Yokozuna's Special Technique: Hatakikomi

Kodama-kun from Hirao Elementary School won the championship in the 4th grade division at the 33rd Wankaku Sumo National Tournament held at Ryogoku Kokugikan in July this year, and was awarded the title of Yokozuna.
Winning the city and metropolitan preliminaries with overwhelming strength, they demonstrated that strength without reservation at the national tournament, ultimately clinching victory over the many formidable wrestlers from across the country.
When asked about the feeling of winning, they said, "I was nervous, but I was happy when I won."
Kodama-kun, who spoke strongly, said, "I want to keep winning from now on." It seems that only a handful of people have won all three years from 4th to 6th grade in the long history of the Wankaku Sumo, and we look forward to his victory in the 5th and 6th grades, as well as his future achievements.
