School Characteristics
Our school was established in April 1975. The Tama River is nearby, and the Yatogawa River flows between the schoolyard and the school building. Additionally, the Omaru irrigation canal runs through the school district, which is a nature-rich environment with pear orchards, rice paddies, and fields scattered throughout.
Also, at our school, we spend a year learning about the nature and culture of the Tama River, being taught about agricultural work such as pears and rice by local residents, and becoming familiar with the Omaru irrigation canal, fostering a sense of hometown pride.
