Breast Cancer Self-Examination Methods
Let's perform a breast self-examination once a month.
Let's do it 4 to 5 days after your period ends.
For those who are postmenopausal, please perform this once a month on a set date. We recommend choosing an easy-to-remember day, such as your birthday or an anniversary.
Do you see any "dents or bulges," "inflammation or discoloration," or "tightening"?
Stand in front of the mirror, clasp your hands behind your head, and carefully observe the color and shape.
We recommend that you have it examined even when your arm is lowered.
Do you feel any lumps when you touch?
Please lightly stroke with your fingertips as if writing the character 'no' with four fingers to check for the presence of any lumps.
Do you have any discharge that looks like it has mixed with blood?
Please gently pinch the base of the nipple with your fingers to check for any discharge.
Do you have any lumps while lying down?
Lie on your back, place a low pillow or a folded towel under your back, touch your breasts, and check for lumps.
If you notice any abnormalities in your breasts or underarms
Please see a breast (external) specialist immediately.
Please let us know your feedback on how to make our website better.
