Let's use the IH cooking heater correctly
Is the IH cooking heater safe?
IH cooking heaters (hereinafter referred to as "IH") are safe products when used according to the instruction manual. However, improper handling can pose a risk of fire.
Fire Incidents
A cardboard box was placed on top of the radiant heater (note) installed in the IH, and accidentally pressing the switch of the radiant heater ignited the cardboard, leading to a fire.
(Note) A radiant heater transmits heat to the pot by heating the heater part, rather than using magnetic force, which causes the heater part to become hot. Therefore, it can be used with pots made of materials other than metal, such as aluminum, glass, and earthenware. It typically has a heat output similar to medium heat on a gas stove and is often set as a supplementary heater for the third burner in a three-burner induction cooktop.

Points for Proper Use of IH to Prevent Fires
- Be careful not to place combustible materials on or around the IH stove at all times. In particular, with IH stoves equipped with radiant heaters, the radiant heater part becomes very hot during use, making it dangerous.
- Do not leave the area while heating and make sure to stay focused.
- Use frying pans and pots that are compatible with induction heating (IH). If you use items that are not IH compatible, the safety device sensor may not activate.
- When frying, use the frying mode. Also, use the amount of oil specified in the instruction manual. Using a small amount of oil may cause the temperature to reach the ignition point before the safety device's sensor activates due to rapid heating.
