Soil from farmland that has flowed into roads and agricultural drainage ditches is filling up roadside ditches and waterways, impairing drainage functions and causing flooding damage during heavy rains.
In addition, the soil that has flowed onto the road can obstruct the passage of people and vehicles, and there is a possibility that it may flow into the properties of nearby residents, causing damage.
The cleanup of such sediment is basically to be carried out by the owner of the land from which it has flowed out.
In the event that sediment flows out from agricultural land, please promptly remove the sediment.

Measures to prevent soil runoff from agricultural land

The city is utilizing the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's subsidy project, the "Tokyo Agricultural Land Project for Future Generations," to provide partial subsidies for expenses related to the construction of retaining walls, fences, or hedges for agricultural operators who own preserved farmland.
