Hospitalization Midwifery

This is a system that provides financial assistance for childbirth expenses to those who cannot be hospitalized for childbirth due to economic reasons.
(It is necessary to apply before childbirth, so please consult us as soon as possible)

Eligible Households

The households that meet the following criteria may be eligible for the program.

• (A) Households receiving Public Assistance and households receiving support benefits under the law for the smooth return of former Japanese residents in China and support for self-sufficiency after permanent return.
• (B) Households Exempt from Resident Tax
• (C) Households subject to resident tax that have only the uniform tax amount.

Note: There may be cases where you do not qualify based on the amount of the childbirth and childcare lump-sum payment, etc.

Subsidy Details

The costs associated with childbirth will be subsidized.

• Note 1: It is necessary to be admitted to a licensed maternity hospital or similar facility recognized as a midwifery institution.

Application Method

After the interview with the person in charge, you will fill out the application form.
(We recommend making an appointment by phone in advance for the interview. Also, the required time is about one hour.)

Required Items for Application

• Maternal and Child Health Handbook
• Seal
• Health Insurance Card
• The applicant's [Individual Number Card] or [Notification Card] and [Identity Verification Documents (Driver's License, Passport, etc.)] (For details, please contact the person in charge when making an appointment for the interview.)
