Welfare Benefits for Foreign Residents with Seniors and Disabilities

Welfare benefits are provided to foreign residents in the city who are elderly or have disabilities.

Eligible Individuals

Foreign residents in Japan who have continuously lived in Japan since before March 31, 1986, are currently registered as residents in Inagi City, do not meet the requirements to receive public Pension, but fall under any of the following categories
Note: Foreign residents in Japan, etc... Special permanent residents as defined in Article 3 of the Special Act on Immigration Control for those who have lost Japanese nationality based on the Peace Treaty with Japan, and those recognized by the mayor as equivalent.

1. Persons born before April 1, 1926
2. Persons with moderate or severe disabilities born before January 1, 1962, who were classified as having moderate or severe disabilities before January 1, 1982
3. Those who were born before January 1, 1947, and became moderately disabled or more between January 1, 1982, and March 31, 1986.

Note: Those who are receiving similar benefits from other municipalities, those who are receiving Public Assistance, those who have been registered as residents of the city for less than one year, and those who are institutionalized are not eligible. Please check the details at the time of application.

Application Method

Please bring an item that shows the bank account number for the transfer, your personal seal, and a disability certificate such as a Physical Disability Certificate that verifies the eligibility requirements, and apply.
