Distribution of Bandanas for Disaster Support for Persons with Disabilities

This bandana is designed for individuals with disabilities that are not easily recognizable from their appearance. By wearing it during a disaster, it helps them receive support more easily when evacuating and after evacuation.
This is distributed to those who hold a disability certificate, those receiving Disability Welfare services, and those receiving assistance for Medical Expenses.

Eligibility

Residents of the city who hold a disability certificate, or those receiving assistance for Disability Welfare services, self-supporting medical care, or medical expense subsidies for intractable diseases, etc.

If you see someone wearing a bandana, the message they are conveying is: "I have hearing difficulties" primarily indicates a person with hearing disabilities, "I have visual difficulties" primarily indicates a person with visual disabilities, "I have physical difficulties" primarily indicates a person with a Physical Disability Certificate, and "I need support" indicates someone with intellectual or mental disabilities, or someone who requires some form of assistance.
However, even if someone is referred to as having a physical disability, there are various types of disabilities such as internal disabilities and higher brain dysfunctions, and some individuals may have disabilities that are not easily recognizable from their appearance. Therefore, please start by asking questions like, "Is there anything you are having trouble with?" or "Is there anything I can help you with?" to offer support and consideration.
