QuestionPlease tell me about the payment for high-cost nursing care (nursing care prevention) services.

Response

If the user burden amount for nursing care services (monthly) exceeds the upper limit shown in the table below when combined for the household, the excess amount will be provided later as "High-cost nursing care (preventive) service expenses."
An "Application Form for High-Cost Nursing Care (Preventive Nursing Care) Service Fee Payment" will be sent to eligible individuals.
Once you apply, subsequent payments will be automatically deposited.

Notice

  • Housing costs, food expenses, and daily living expenses at the facility are not covered.
  • The self-funded portion of specific welfare equipment purchases and housing renovations is not eligible.
  • Amounts exceeding the payment limit for the level of care required are not eligible.
  • After two years from the day following the payment of the user's share for the use of nursing care services, you will no longer be able to apply due to the statute of limitations.
