Question(For those who have received long-term care or support certification) I would like to purchase welfare equipment for bathing and toilet use. What should I do?
Response
For welfare equipment that is not suitable for rental due to hygiene management and other reasons, such as equipment used for bathing and toilets, a portion of the purchase cost will be reimbursed as "welfare equipment purchase cost."

Eligible Individuals
Individuals who are insured under the Long-Term Care Insurance of Inagi City, whose purchase date of welfare equipment falls within the valid period of long-term care (support) certification, and who are living at home.
Types of welfare equipment eligible for Long-Term Care Insurance benefits
Toilet seat (limited to those that fall under 1 to 4)
- A device that converts a Japanese-style toilet into a Western-style toilet (including items that adjust the height when converting to a Western-style toilet)
- A device placed on top of a Western-style toilet to adjust the height
- Those equipped with a function that can assist when standing up from the toilet seat, either electrically or with a spring mechanism
- Portable toilets (limited to those that consist of a toilet seat, bucket, etc., and can be used in living spaces)
Replaceable Parts for Automatic Excretion Processing Devices
Replaceable parts of the automatic excretion processing device (such as receivers, tubes, tanks, etc.) that are part of the urine or feces pathway and can be easily replaced by the user or their caregiver. (This excludes consumable items such as dedicated pads, cleaning solutions used for each excretion, and related products like dedicated pants and sheets.)
Bathing assistance equipment (equipment intended to assist with maintaining a seated position or entering and exiting the bathtub during bathing, limited to those that fall under categories 1 to 7)
- Bathing Chair
Items with a seat height of approximately 35 centimeters or more, or those with a reclining function. - Bathtub Handrail
It can be fixed by sandwiching the edge of the bathtub. - Bathtub Chair
Items that can be used by placing them in the bathtub. - Bathing Platform
A device that makes it easier to enter and exit the bathtub over the edge. (Step stools are not included.) - Bathroom Slatted Floor
Items that can be placed in the bathroom to eliminate the step difference on the bathroom floor. - Bathtub Slats
An item placed in the bathtub to compensate for the height of the bathtub's bottom. - Bathing Assistance Belt

Items that are suitable for the body and can be connected to a mobility lift.
Excretion Prediction Support Device
This device is worn by the user at all times to detect the condition inside the bladder and estimate the urge to urinate. When it is estimated that a certain amount has been reached, it automatically notifies the caregiver of the opportunity to urinate. (This excludes consumables such as dedicated gels used each time it is worn and related products such as dedicated sheets.)
Payment Limit Standard Amount
The maximum payment limit is 100,000 yen within the same fiscal year (from April 1 to March 31 of the following year) with the purchase date as the reference date. You can use it multiple times within the limit of 100,000 yen, but you cannot apply for more than one type of benefit in the same fiscal year.
However, in special circumstances such as the following cases, it may be provided again.
- In case of damage (limited to normal wear and tear or damage due to aging, considering physical condition and usage environment).
- If the purposes and functions are different.
- When the degree of need for nursing care has significantly increased, and the welfare equipment is no longer useful.
