On October 8, 2024, around 12:00 PM, a male deer was sighted near the boundary between 5-chome and 6-chome in Tama City. Please be very careful about the following when you see a deer nearby.

If you see a deer

  • Do not approach the deer
  • Do not feed, do not show food, etc.
  • Do not raise your voice (do not provoke or excite the deer)
  • If you witness something from home, secure your doors and be careful to prevent anyone from entering your house.

Previous Sightings Information

Deer do not stay in the same place. Please be cautious around areas where sightings have been reported.
Additionally, since there have been no reports of contact with people or fears of human injury, deer will be monitored as wildlife from the perspective of the Wildlife Protection and Management Act. It should be noted that wild deer may become accustomed to humans if they are fed or if there is an attempt to harm them, which can lead to them causing harm.
If you feel in danger, such as the risk of being harmed, please call 110.
