1 3 days About Development Projects in the Minamiyama Area

Development in Minamiyama is progressing, and there are construction vehicles passing through, but trucks and dump trucks are parking on the street during morning school hours. I would like them to consider parking locations a bit more. On weekday mornings, the traffic of trucks and general vehicles around the Yaoko area has been increasing.

Regarding construction vehicles, the Minamiyama East Land Readjustment Project Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) has been providing guidance to ensure that they do not park on public roads but instead park within the construction site. However, since temporary stops are necessary when opening the gate, we have reiterated to the construction operators, through the Association, the importance of "consideration for neighboring residents to avoid causing inconvenience, such as parking and stopping" and "consideration for the entry and exit of construction vehicles during school hours."
In conjunction with the opening of the Inagi Minami-Tama Line, we will implement safety measures, including the installation of new traffic signals at major intersections, including the T-junction in front of Yaoko.
We have been informed by the Minamiyama East Land Readjustment Association that they aim to complete the construction work by the fiscal year 8 of Reiwa, so we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation for a little longer.

2 3 days About the road depression near Kasayato Bridge The road surface on Kasayato Ohashi Street has significant depressions. I am concerned about the possibility of sinkholes and other dangers. Regarding the area you contacted us about, since there are rainwater pipes buried underground, we conducted an investigation on February 14 at the city (Sewerage Division) to confirm the causal relationship with the subsidence of the road surface by inserting a camera into the pipe to check the internal conditions, and we confirmed that there are no abnormalities in the rainwater pipes. Moving forward, we are considering methods for repairs regarding the subsidence of the road surface. We will continue to strive for appropriate maintenance management based on road patrols by staff and information from citizens. Maintenance and Repair Section, Management Division
3 3 days Bicycle Etiquette There are people speeding on bicycles towards Minami-Tama Station from Inagi-Naganuma Station, and it seems like they are about to collide with those heading to the station. It might be a good idea to have traffic attendants present. Regarding the manners of bicycle traffic requests, the city is collaborating with the Tama Central Police Station and local residents to conduct public awareness activities for bicycle users at various locations within the city.
We will continue to promote traffic safety awareness activities and request the Tama Chuo Police Station to conduct traffic guidance and enforcement in the areas of concern.

4 3 days Littering of Cigarettes and Cat Waste There are people smoking and littering in the park. Also, there is cat feces left behind, which is a problem. Regarding cigarette littering, we can provide sheets that can be affixed to the ground stating "No Littering". Additionally, if you inform us of specific parks where smokers are present, we will communicate this to the park management and strengthen patrols by smoking prevention instructors on the streets. Please contact the Living Environment Division, Environmental Conservation Section.
Regarding cat feces, we offer a free rental of ultrasonic cat deterrents to reduce cat-related issues. If needed, please contact the Living Environment Division Environmental Conservation Section.

1 3 days About Hirao Basketball Court

I would like a basketball court to be built at Friend Hirao or Hirao Neighborhood Park.

Currently, there is a basketball court in the North Green Space Park of Higashi-Naganuma, and there are basketball goals in Shiroyama Park and "Wakabadai Koen".
Until now, there have been other basketball goals, but due to issues such as the sound of the ball hitting the backboard and user etiquette, there are parks that have unfortunately had to remove them.
For this reason, we believe that in order to install basketball goals in parks and other places, it is necessary to be away from nearby houses and to have the understanding of the residents.
I checked the site to see if it is possible to install a basketball goal at the proposed "Hirao Neighborhood Park." However, to secure a flat area large enough for basketball at "Hirao Neighborhood Park," it would inevitably be close to the residential area of the Hirao Housing Complex. For this reason, I believe it is difficult to install a basketball goal at "Hirao Neighborhood Park."
In addition, within Hirao, the "Friend Hirao" gymnasium has a basketball court that can be used by everyone when registered as a group. For information on how to register as a group, please visit the city website. (Page ID: 1004113)
Furthermore, the "Friend Hirao" ground is used for sports such as baseball and soccer, and we believe it is difficult to secure a new location for basketball.
In addition, the playground of Hirao Elementary School, which is attended by students, does not have a concrete surface, but it has a basketball goal that can be used until 3:45 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
We apologize for not being able to meet your request.

2 5 days About Share Bicycles Electric bicycles are available for rent, but is it not possible to rent helmets? Regarding the city's share bicycle project, we have concluded a basic agreement with OpenStreet Co., Ltd., the operating business operator, and are working together in cooperation. As for the lending of helmets, we are currently not implementing it due to hygiene issues and safety concerns related to size mismatches. However, considering the current situation where wearing helmets while using bicycles is encouraged, we will promote and raise awareness about wearing helmets during the use of share bicycles.
