I received an email claiming a "site usage fee" that I have no recollection of! Even if it says "legal action," don't panic! Let's ignore fraudulent billing emails.

There has been an increase in consultations such as "I received a billing email that I don't remember" and "I received a billing email using the name of a familiar site, but I have never contracted with that site."
These emails are sent simultaneously to an unspecified large number of people, and their content is baseless. If you call or email the Business Operators involved, you will be persistently pressured to make payments. Under no circumstances should you contact the Business Operators. If you have sent an email or made a phone call, use the block email or call rejection functions and monitor the situation.
Even if it says things like "We will take legal action," do not rush to make any payments. If you have any doubts or concerns about the billing details, please consult the Inagi City Consumer Affairs Consultation Office (Phone: 042-378-3738).
