Frequently Asked Questions (National Pension)
QuestionEven if I join until the mandatory enrollment period of 60 years old, I cannot receive the old-age basic Pension due to insufficient years. What should I do?
Response
Those who do not meet the eligibility period (in principle, a premium payment period of 10 years or more) or who wish to increase their Pension amount closer to the full amount can voluntarily enroll from age 60 until they turn 65.
Additionally, those born before April 1, 1975, who still do not meet the required period even after voluntary enrollment until age 65, can exceptionally continue to enroll until age 70 to fulfill the period required to receive the Pension.
Note: This applies only to those who are not enrolled in the Employees' Pension on the application date.
