Frequently Asked Questions (National Pension)
QuestionEven if I join until the mandatory enrollment period of 60 years old, I cannot receive the old-age basic Pension due to insufficient years. What should I do?
Response
Those who do not meet the qualification period for benefits (generally, a contribution period of 10 years or more) or those who want to increase their pension amount can voluntarily join from the age of 60 to 65.
In addition, those born before April 1, 1965, who do not meet the required period for voluntary enrollment until the age of 65, can exceptionally enroll until they meet the required period to receive their Pension by the age of 70.
Note: This applies only to those who are not enrolled in the Employees' Pension on the application date.
