QuestionPlease tell me about the payment of the National Health Insurance Tax.

Response

The National Health Insurance Tax is calculated based on the total income amount from the previous year, and a notification of the assessment decision will be sent to the head of the household every July. (If you join or withdraw during the fiscal year, the timing of the notification may vary.)
If you wish to make payments via direct debit, please apply using the direct debit application form. The direct debit application form is available at Inagi City Hall and the Branch Office.
If you are paying with a payment slip, it is enclosed with the assessment decision notice, so please make your payment at a financial institution, Japan Post Bank, the counter of the City Hall's financial institution branch, or a convenience store within the deadline.

For detailed payment methods, please check the section "How to Pay National Health Insurance Tax" on the "National Health Insurance Tax" page.
