Frequently Asked Questions (National Health Insurance)
QuestionA child has been born. What should I do to create a Health Insurance Card?
Response
If you are not eligible for dependent coverage under social insurance, you will need to enroll in the National Health Insurance.
In addition, if a person enrolled in the National Health Insurance gives birth and is not using the direct payment system for childbirth and childcare lump-sum benefits, they can apply for the childbirth and childcare lump-sum benefits.
The childbirth and childcare lump-sum payment is provided by the health insurance you are enrolled in on the day of childbirth.
Items Required for National Health Insurance Enrollment Procedures
- Copy of Birth Registration (When the birth registration is submitted to a municipality other than Inagi City)
- Identification documents (driver's license, passport, My Number Card, etc.)
- Identity verification documents / Individual number (My Number) verification documents
